Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt 3 days

These days are part of the most classic experience the Alps have to offer skiers, but with slightly different route choices. Normally, the Haute Route takes six days, but now it's three days, so get in shape and lighten your equipment a little.

Day 1 Chamonix
We will meet in Chamonix at 4:00 p.m. to go over the itinerary and arrange equipment.

Day 2 Argentiere – Verbier
We take the lift in Grand Montes and cross the glaciers to Champex, a day with a 1,400-meter climb. We walk via Col du Passion – Glacier du Tour-Col du Tour – Glacier du Trient – Glacier d'Arpette before descending to Champix, where we take a taxi to Verbier and check into the hotel.

Day 3Verbier – Arolla
In Verbier, we take the lift up to 2900 meters above sea level and in Arolla we finish at 2000 meters above sea level. The total climb is 1300 meters. This is the same route as the short course during the PDG, but in the opposite direction and with a lift up to Verbier.

Day 4 Arolla-Zermatt
The toughest day in terms of altitude, with a 1,700-meter climb, plus we will pass under Tete Blanche at an altitude of 3,600 meters before heading down towards Zermatt and finishing at 1,600 meters above sea level. Transport back to Chamonix, check-in at the hotel, and farewell dinner.
