Kebnekaise

Kebnekaise via Nygrensled: Climbing Sweden's highest mountain is something you should do if you like mountains, climbing, and hiking. The tour goes along Jökelbäcken over the Björlings glacier and on to Södranischen, where the climb along Nygrensled up to Kebnekaise North Peak begins. Once up there, we enjoy the fantastic 360-degree view. The return journey goes along the ridge over to the South Peak, and then we take Östraleden back to the mountain station.

Kebnekaise via Östraleden: The first 2.5 hours are the same hike as to Nygrensled, but when we reach Björlingsglaciär, we head in a different direction and set our sights on Östraleden. We then climb along Östraleden up to the summit plateau, which we follow to Sydtoppen, after which we hike along the ridge to Nordtoppen.

The ascent of Kebnekaise is a long and physically demanding tour, which includes glacier walking and climbing passages. The entire tour takes 9-11 hours to complete. There are other enjoyable tours that also include climbing Kebnekaise, some of the alternatives being starting in Tarfala and going via the Storglaciären or Isfallsglaciären glaciers, or we can do the Halspasset, Ostkammen to Nordtoppen. We always try to climb both the North and South peaks on our tours.

The programs above are suggestions and may be subject to change depending on conditions on the mountain.

For all tour options, we will meet the day before to go over the equipment and plan.

Price: Nygrensled SEK 7,500 for 1 participant, SEK 9,000 for 2-3 participants. Östraleden including a reserve day SEK 12,000 for up to 4 participants. Start in Tarfala, price on request.

The price includes: mountain guide, guide's expenses, climbing equipment.
